StreamThru seeing increased repeat usage of its free flight information service

StreamThru members who registered for free flight updates, used the service an average of 1.8 times during its first 5 months of operation.

So, who are the people using StreamThru?

At the end of July, 2.5% of our subscribers were from overseas, the rest came from the UK. Unsurprisingly, the top UK location was London, representing 18.6% of subscribers. Leeds came next at 5.3%, followed by Brighton (2.3%), Reading (1.9%), and Birmingham (1.7%).

And, in the same period, British Airways (BA) was the most popular airline with these StreamThru subscribers. 22.2% of flights registered with StreamThru were with BA.

It seems that BA passengers value their free flight updates, which is interesting based on BA's comments that it is considering introducing some virtual concierge type services for its passengers after Heathrow T5 opens next March.

After BA, easyJet was the next most popular airline with our subscribers representing 9.8% of flights, followed by Ryanair (7.4%), Jet.2com (4.8%), and Monarch (4.7%).
